A carefully read CBC and metabolic panel can surface digestive dysfunction (protein and enzyme markers that hint at low stomach acid or poor absorption), anemia patterns and B-vitamin deficiencies (including the B12/folate patterns that hide behind "normal" hemoglobin), liver stress before enzymes ever leave range, and immune patterns — the white-cell signatures of chronic viral or bacterial challenges, parasites, and even developing autoimmune processes. It is never about one extreme value; it's about how the markers sit in relation to each other.
Isn't this just finding problems that aren't there?
A fair question — and the answer lies in the whole picture. A single drifted marker means little. A pattern of markers that agrees with the patient's history and symptoms means a great deal.
